Star Wars The Force Awakens: deleted scene, Unkar Plutt enrages Chewbacca

Star Wars The Force Awakens never-before-seen deleted scene from the movie has revealed the fate of Unkar Plutt, the blobfish-like junk dealer who is responsible for making Rey’s life miserable on the desert world of Jakku.

Just as fans of Star Wars The Force Awakens already know, Rey was able to escap Plutt’s clutches when she, Finn, and BB-8 stole the Millennium Falcon while fleeing from the First Order. The last time Plutt (played by Simon Pegg) was seen, was when he was shaking his fists at the vanishing starship and crying out, “That’s mine!”

Stealing the prized vehicle proved to be enough comeuppance for the character. But in the newly released deleted scene of Star Wars The Force Awakens which is available on the upcoming 3-D Collector’s Edition Blu-ray release, shows that J.J Abrams who is the director and co-writer had a more brutal ending in mind for the side villain originally. Fans of the movie who have read the movie’s novelization will already have a hint of what’s to expect.

When the newly emboldened scavenger draws out her weapon, Plutt quickly snatches it away from her. But he finds himself being picked on by someone who is definitely not his size — Chewbacca.

Although the wounded Wookiee looms large, but Plutt is undaunted, and is literally poking the space bear. The clip above ends at that point, but on the new 3-D Blu-ray disc which will be out November 15, it continues a little longer. Watch the deleted scene Here

I’m sure fans of the movie cannot wait for the release. What are your thoughts on the Star Wars The Force Awakens deleted scene? Please let me know in the comment box!
