Black Panther: Open Casting Call for Marvel’s “Black Panther”

The production of Black Panther is getting close, and the open cast calls in Atlanta will be holding in days to come. The production of Black Panther will not start in the Atlanta area until January 2017. Most of the portion of the movie will be set in Black Panther’s homeland of Africa. Therefore, casting directors will be needing lots of African American background actors, between the ages 18 to 90.

The casting directors together with Tammy Smith in Atlanta have been working for some time now, and have held a casting call back in July.

There seem to be lots of detailed costumes, and the casting directors are making sure to nail down available talent for filming as soon as possible, so everyone can get fitted for those costumes. Furthermore, some featured spots may need to be hand picked by the director.

This casting call is the second round for Black Panther, and if you missed the first Black Panther casting call, this is another opportunity for you to be considered.

Presently, the movie is only seeking for adult extras, and this open call is for talent over the age of 18.  The casting directors of Black Panther are especially interested in talent with fighting skills like Boxing, MMA, wrestling, stick fighting and more. Talents that are great on drums will also be needed.

For the upcoming 2 casting sessions, minors will not be seen. Therefore, everyone is asked not to bring their kids. Also, all extras cast can expect to be paid about $100 per day on set.

For the casting call of this movie, the casting directors are asking talents that want to work as paid movie extras on this project to come dressed to impress, as the photos will be taken onsite. Casting directors are also looking for great traditional African looks as well as tribal looks and afro-punk. Individuals with piercings and tattoos are also welcome.

The Black Panther’s character was introduced in the last Captain America movie, and Black panther was among the characters in the Avenger’s Civil War.

According to Cinemablend, Marvel has promised an entirely new adventure. It will be set in another country and will also introduce fans to a whole new culture.According to the Black Panther’s IMDB page, the movie stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker and Lupita Nyong’o. Ryan Coogler is set to direct together with Joe Robert Cole and Coogler which are credited as writers. Fans of ‘Black Panther” will have to wait, as the movie is set to hit theaters in early 2018.

If you have already applied for a role in the movie in the first round, your submission os still with the casting directors. However, you are still advised to come to the open call if possible (or you can update your submission). The submissions are accumulative, and the best candidates will be gathered for the director to choose from.
