The Bachelor Australia 2016 winner is Alex Nation. Richie dumped Nikki on the Bachelor Finale.
Richie chose single mum Alex Nation over fan favorite Nikki Gogan, and all love has been lost between Australia and Richie Strahan after the shocking season finale of The Bachelor Australia.
Australians hasn’t been dealt a huge blow like this since the Bachelor 2014 Blake Garvey proposed to Sam Frost, and then dumped her days later.
Viewers of the reality TV Show were totally convinced that the beautiful blonde real estate agent from Western Australia would get to receive the final rose, win Richie’s heart, and also get to be The Bachelor Australia 2016 Winner.
Nikki even felt the love she felt for Richie was totally mutual. She said… “I feel it’s me. Every ounce of me says it’s me,” the 28 year old real estate beauty assured herself, just moments before hearing Richie say his decision.
“What I feel for Richie is like nothing I have ever felt before. He is the one I want to do life with. Do I get to be that girl who gets to be the one at the end 1and live happily ever after? Do I get to be that lucky?” well she certainly does not get to do happily ever after with Richie. But we hope she meets her Prince Charming.
In the moment Richie dumped Nikki, making Alex The Bachelor 2016 Winner, all affection Australians had Richie from WA evaporated.
The Bachelor backlash was immediate on social media. Fans raised hashtags, and also raised their broken-heart emojis for Nikki.
A heartbroken Nikki’s response although stunned was also quite genuine. Her sincerity broke viewers’ hearts even more.
“Yeah, I’ve had a great time,” she told him. “I had a lot of fun. Thank you for everything. Yeah, I’ve had lots of fun. I love you a lot and I love you enough to … you know … yeah, I do wish you all the very best. I thought what we had was special but what you have with Alex must just top all of that. Good luck.” She said
And even in her post-eviction monologue in the car, where some contestants become a little more candid about not getting a rose. Nikki’s integrity and honesty made seeing Richie’s decision more tragic.
