Project Runway Season 15 episode 13: ‘Finale Part 1’

On Project Runway season 15 episode 13, the four final Project Runway designers were sent home for six weeks so they can start on their collections for New York Fashion Week.

And after a visit from one of the Project Runway judges, they all came back to New York. Back in New York, the Project Runway designers had to prepare three of their looks to give the Project Runway judges a sneak peek.

Although there was no top look or bottom look in Project Runway season 15 episode 13, each of the designer had a strong piece and a weaker piece. Here is a rundown of some of the looks from Project Runway season 15 episode 13. Each Project Runway designer’s strong look is pictured first, followed by their weaker look.

Erin

The Project Runway judges loved Erin’s top look. The look is playful, fun and also really experiments with odd techniques and materials. During Project Runway season 15 episode 13, the judges said that the look makes them excited to see more from her.

The flowy white dress for the second look, however, did not look exciting enough for the judges. And even though Erin hand-painted and designed her own print, the judges felt it lacked the originality of the other more unique parts of the collection.

Laurence

The white look with the open back is Laurence’s top look, and the judges think that it’s a stunning piece. They also said that they had faith that Laurence is also quite capable of making all of her models look that cool and edgy.

For the second “bag romper” look, it was quite controversial on the judging panel. While Project Runway judges Heidi and Zac think it looks like something new that they have not seen before, especially from Laurence. Nina and Michael Kors says that it borders on the costume. This advice doesn’t seem constructive for Laurence moving forward to the finale. But either way, I guess she’ll have to stick with her conviction for the reasoning behind her designs.

Rik

On Project Runway season 15 episode 13, while Rik’s first look of leather sexy, hip and cute, the judges were not impressed with his weaker look. They also suggested in making it shorter and maybe a bit tighter to add to the sex appeal. Nina was also worried that Rik’s looks skew a little toward “junior.”

Roberi

I’m still trying to understand what the Project Runway judges see in Roberi’s looks. Maybe it’s a personal thing, but the judges just loved his collection. The judges also loved the shiny colors in contrast with the army colors of the vests and jackets. The judges also loved the simple dress more than the slouchy look of the pants and jacket. But one of the judges Nina suggested he get rid of the grungy styling and also try to make the whole collection look more expensive.

So guys, what do you think of the collections from the designers so far on Project Runway season 15 episode 13? Which of the designers do you think is most ready for the Fashion Week runway? Who is going to win?
