Dancing with the Stars Winners: Laurie Hernandez and partner Val Chmerkovskiy Named Winners of DWTS Season 23

Dancing with the Stars winners for Dancing with the stars season 23 is Laurie Hernandez and her dancing partner Val Chmerkovskiy who were crowned champions of the popular reality TV shows in America on Tuesday night.

Laurie and Val are the ballroom champions and Dancing With The Stars Winners. The dancing pair won the coveted mirrorball trophy on Tuesday night’s two-hour live finale broadcast on ABC.

Following the win, Laurie said the following to announce her victory..

“I just want to thank everyone for their support and riding along this crazy roller coaster of my life, and my goal is just to inspire others as I go on with my journey, and thanks for being there for me!”

Val also added the following on their victory…

“Thank you so much,” Val added. “To all the kids out there, you don’t have to wait until you grow up to change the world. Be great; You’re the future! Thank you so much.”

The Dancing With The Stars Winners Laurie and Val were revealed based on the combination of Dancing with the stars judges scores and also home viewers votes which were received during this week’s final performance of the show and the show results. Also, this DWTS win will make it the second win for Val as a pro partner in the last four seasons of the TV show.

Finishing in second place was Professional race car driver James Hinchcliffe and partner Sharna Burgess. Following that outcome, on of the Dancing with the stars host, Tom Bergeron admitted, “Rarely have we had two more deserving couples” at the end of a season.

Following his experience on the show, James said…

“It meant the world. I would never have thought at the end of this that, you know, Sharna and I would be standing up here finishing second in this competition.” 

“Congrats to Laurie and Val. They were tremendous from Day 1. And I’m just so proud of [Sharna] and all the hard work she put into making me look like I knew how to dance. Thanks to all the ‘Team Stop and Go’ supporters, my family, [my girlfriend Becky Dalton], and everybody. It’s been a great time.”

Finishing in third place on Dancing With The Stars was Retired NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr. and dance partner Lindsay Arnold. In her last four season on the show, Lindsay has never managed to finish higher than third place.

Following the outcome on the Dancing With the Stars Winners, one of the Dancing with the stars judges Carrie Ann Inaba said of the Dancing with the stars finale couples, “I never saw three more worthy finalists, ever.”

Tuesday night’s Christmas-themed Dancing with the stars finale featured the Top 3 couples, with each of them reprising their favorite dance of the season. The dance couples then performed one last quickly-rehearsed “24-hour Fusion Dance,” which combined two different styles of ballroom dance into a very complicated dance routine. This “24-hour Fusion Dance” challenge completed the scores of the couples from the dancing with the stars judges for the finale of the dance show.

The Dancing With The Stars Winners Laurie and Val took the dance stage with a foxtrot and Argentine tango routine which gave them a perfect score of 40 points from the Dancing with the stars judges. James and Sharna also earned 40 points for their foxtrot-Viennese waltz fusion. Calvin and Lindsay performed a quickstep and jive fusion which added 40 points to their total as well.

The other Dancing with the stars finale couples James and Sharna, Calvin and Lindsay also earned 40 points for their dance routines as well.
